1. What is your database's name, what grade level would use the database, and what subject area would the database be used?

Ebsco's bibliography of Native Americans. Students from grades 5-8 should use this database. It would be used in history.

 

2. Explain the types of search methods that are available on this database: (keyword, subject, advanced, topic, etc.

You can search using a keyword, by the autor's name, by the publication,by the published date and by the number of pages the article contains.

 

3. Can you sort your search? (relevance, date, size of article) If so, how?

yes by size, date, or author.

 

4. What other features are available? Does the database allow you to download, print, email, etc?

you can e-mail, save, or print the article that you want.

 

5. Does the database show how to cite information?

yes

 

6. Can you email articles found?

yes

 

7. What other information (videos, audios, photographs, etc.) does the database contain database?

none just a search for atrilces.

 

8. What are the “coverage dates” of the database holdings? (How far back do the articles date?)

they go back as far as the 1800s

 

9. Can you access information from this month’s newspapers or magazines? If so, how current are they? If not, how current are they?

you can access this month's newspapers and magazines, they are very current because they are from this month.

 

10. What types of assistance is listed on the home page for the user? (Help, search tips, etc.)

there is a help page

 

11. What areas are lacking in this database regarding search techniques, user friendliness, options to save searches, materials available, etc.?

the site often contains many errors which dont allow the results for your search to appear on the screen.

 

12. Explain if this database is easy or difficult to use and why or why not

It is easy to use when it is working, it sometimes crashes, because it is alot like other databases.

 

13. After using the database, in what other types of classes do you believe it could be used?
